Forbes lists humanitarian philanthropist, Bill Gates as number-4 world’s richest man
But a female, McKenzie Scott who is the most generous person in the world came #15 on the Forbes’ list with a net-worth $54.2 billion

Forbes has released its annual list of 400 richest people in the world and Bill Gates is one of the top four.
According to Forbes, 35th annual world billionaire list, Bill Gates, with a $124 billion net worth is the fourth richest man, despite his generous give outs during the pandemic.
According to the list, Amazon founder, Jeff Bezos, becomes number one richest man with his estimated $201 billion. Elon Musk of Tesla Motors, is in the No.2 spot, with a net worth of $190.5 billion; while French luxury goods tycoon Bernard Arnault holds onto his spot as No. 3 with his $150 billion net worth.
Bill Gates, according a Forbes report in January this year, is one of the 25 largest “givers” on its list of philanthropists.
Though Bill Gates is the No.4 richest man in the world, McKenzie Scott, the former wife of Amazon’s rich man, Jeff Scott, stands out as the most generous giver in the world, she ranks No.15 on the Forbes’ list of 400 richest people. She is worth $54.2billion.

Surprisingly, the Forbes has included former US President, Donald Trump among the 51 people to drop off the list. This is the first time in 25 years that the businessman-turned politician has not been listed. Trump, a real estate agent, is said to have reported a net worth of $2.5 billion in 2021, which has now dropped him to the rank of number 1,299 in the list of rich people.
The criteria of making the top 400 rich people is to have a net worth of $2.9 billion.
The top 400 rich people on the list, however, have made money despite Covid-19, with their collective fortunes increasing by 40 per cent, a total of $4.5 trillion.
“Despite the uncertainty and the ever-changing market economy, the 2021 Forbes 400 shows that America’s wealthiest have grown far richer,” said the assistant managing editor of Wealth at Forbes, Kerry A. Dolan.
“The wealthiest Americans collectively saw a 40 per cent increase over last year and nearly all are richer than they were last year.”
In the list, only two Africans were featured on the list of the first 400 people in the world.
Nassef Sawiris of Egypt came as No.297 with a net worth of $8.3 billion; while Jonann Rupert and family from South Africa, came No.358 with $7.1 billion.
