Bauchi’s Governor, First Lady visit press office, commend image maker

At the weekend, the Governor of Bauchi state paid a surprised work visit to his media aide’s office in the company of his wife, First Lady Aisha

It was a historic moment at weekend when Governor of Bauchi State, Northeast Nigeria, Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed and his wife, First Lady Aisha Mohammed paid a surprising working visit to Directorate of Press within the Government House Bauchi.

The governor and First Lady, according Kaura Social Media, were received by the Special Adviser on Media and Communications, Comrade Muktar Gidado.

Mr Gidado, a former National Vice Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) took time to conduct the governor round the new Directorate of Press within the Government House.

Governor Mohammed, a former journalists, had while inspecting the offices, acknowledged the loyalty and commitments of his aide on media “towards discharging his assigned responsibilities”.

He said all necessary supports needed by the directorate towards discharging their onerous task of promoting the good work of his administration would be given to them.

Comrade Gidado, a seasoned journalist and profound image-maker conveyed his gratitude, on behalf of his team, to the governor for the visit. He also declared the “total commitment of the staff of the directorate towards protecting the image” of his administration “through proper reporting of the policies and programmes of the administration.

Mr Bala Mohammed, popular hailed by his fans as Kauran Bauchi, is the sixth democratically elected governor of Bauchi; and the 16 chief executive of the state (combining both military and civilian rules) since the creation of the state in 1976.
